Your Privacy Matters

Wazuri WebCraft is the independent digital practice of Frank J Kelly. When you get in touch, you’re trusting me with your details, and often with early thoughts about your work. I treat both with care.

I collect only what I need to understand your inquiry and respond to it. I don’t sell your information, share it for marketing, or use it to build advertising profiles. The website itself is kept deliberately simple: no advertising, no analytics and no tracking cookies.

Information You Share

The contact form asks for:

  • your name
  • your email address
  • your website address, if you’d like to include it
  • your message

When you send it, the form also records the page it came from, the date and time, and the general type of browser and device system you used, such as “Chrome” on “Windows”. That last detail comes from information every browser shares automatically. Your IP address isn’t recorded with your message, unless the website’s security firewall flags it, as explained under Website Security and Technical Information.

If you write to me by email instead, I receive whatever your message contains, along with the details your email service adds, such as your address.

Please don’t include passwords, payment details or other sensitive information. If something sensitive is needed later, we can agree on a safer way to share it.

How Your Information Is Handled

I use what you send to read your inquiry and reply to it. If we decide to work together, it also helps me plan and carry out that work.

When you submit the form, two things happen. Your message is stored in the website’s database, so I can review it and keep track of our conversation. A copy is also sent to my business mailbox as an email, and my replies go straight to the address you gave.

The website sends that email through an email delivery service, and my mailbox is hosted by an email provider. They handle messages on my behalf so they can be delivered and stored, under their own security and privacy terms.

Nothing is emailed back to you automatically. The message on screen confirms that your inquiry arrived. Your details aren’t added to a mailing list, and apart from the services that run and protect the website and deliver email, I don’t share them with anyone unless the law requires it.

How Long Information Is Kept

Inquiries sent through the form are kept for up to 12 months. A daily check then deletes them from the website automatically.

When an inquiry becomes a working relationship, I mark it to keep it longer. It becomes part of the project’s history, and I may need it for legitimate business purposes, such as continuing our work together and keeping proper records.

Email is separate. Deleting an inquiry from the website doesn’t delete the notification email or any correspondence in my mailbox. Those messages are kept as ordinary business correspondence, and you can ask me to delete them at any time.

Website backups, security records and the server’s technical logs follow their own schedules, so a copy of some information may remain there for a time after an inquiry has been deleted.

Website Security and Technical Information

Pages are delivered over an encrypted connection, and form entries can be viewed only through a password-protected administrator account.

Like most websites, the server keeps technical logs of the requests it receives. Each record includes the visitor’s IP address, the time, the page requested, the page that linked to it, and the browser’s description of itself. These logs help keep the site running and secure. They aren’t used to build profiles of visitors.

The website uses Wordfence to help protect against unauthorized access and abusive traffic. For security purposes, it may record IP addresses, request times, pages visited, referring pages, browser information and details of suspicious activity. When a request is flagged, these records may include information submitted through a form. Certain security information, including IP addresses and flagged request contents, may also be transmitted to Wordfence for threat detection and prevention. Security records are retained according to their type and applicable retention settings. Wordfence handles information it receives under its own privacy policy.

The contact form filters automated spam with a hidden field that people never see. It doesn’t rely on an outside service, and messages it rejects aren’t stored.

No way of storing or sending information online is perfectly secure, but I take real care with what you share.

Cookies and External Services

Browsing this website doesn’t place cookies in your browser. There’s no analytics, advertising, social media tracking or embedded content from other sites, and the text is set in fonts served from this website itself rather than fonts fetched from an outside service.

WordPress, the software behind the site, briefly notes whether your browser can display emoji. That note stays on your device and clears when you close the tab. If an older browser can’t display them, it may fetch emoji images from WordPress.org.

Signing in to manage the website does use cookies, but that applies only to its administrators.

Some pages link to other websites, such as the sites of featured projects. They open in a new tab and have their own privacy practices.

Your Choices

You decide what to share. Only your name, email address and message are required, and you’re always welcome to email me instead of using the form.

You can ask me to:

  • tell you what information I hold about you
  • correct anything that’s wrong
  • delete it, including your form entry and our email correspondence, unless I need to keep a record for an active project or a legal obligation

Depending on where you live, privacy law may give you further rights. Just ask, and I’ll help.
